Texas Woman's University - Online
About
The teacher education program at Texas Woman’s University (TWU) prepares outstanding professional educators who make a difference in their communities. TWU see educators as not only teachers but as leaders and advocates in service to others as well. TWU students gain not only the professional knowledge they’ll need in the classroom but also the skills needed to help their students reach their full potential. In doing so, they open doors of opportunity for future generations — the true calling of every teacher.
Teacher candidates have the opportunity to complete their coursework fully online. Additionally, TWU works with school districts throughout the state, allowing you to complete your student teaching and observations anywhere in the state of Texas. Stay in your own backyard and make a difference for Texas public schools.
TWU is a co-ed, public institution that has been recognized as having one of the most ethnically diverse student bodies in Texas and nationally. In addition to being designated a Hispanic-Serving Institution, TWU has been named a "Military Friendly" institution and a "Best College for Students with Children".
